Man guys I hate to sound like I am bashing the Speed NT but I read this thread again. And yes it is fast, and yes Losi seems to have great customer service, but I was considering buying this truck as well being that I already had the Jato. I have steered clear from it now. It has way to many issues aside from the engine. I have been gone from the forums for awhile bcuz I have been running the heck out of my Savage and Jato and haven't had any issues with my Jato. I am looking at the TEN T though but haven't seen much info on it.

I know some say they don't want a Jato bcuz everyone has one but there is good after market support and you can customize it and make it your own. IDK just my 2 cents though.

The only issues I've heard with the Ten-T, is the ROSS system. If you get it, ditch the ROSS, and put a roto start kit on it.

So im new to the forum, hey, i just trade a dinky fake ipad for a speed nt i was just curious is there an aluminim kickplate, bulkhead, and steering brace out there somwhere? Also, i want to ask the guy with the aluminum speed nt where he found the front bumper for his, and how he ran the LED's and if he used a separate battery pack?

the bumper is from a losi desert truck the chrome is nice but the origainal one has a stronger kick plate and won't break like mine did in a 2mph curb bs incident
as for any alumium thats cheaper than stock parts !  HERE is my favorite link!  http://www.asiatees.com/model.php?Team-Losi-XXX-NT-Upgrades-Parts-Hop-Ups&brand=Team%20Losi&model=XXX-NT or asia tee hobbies
split power from my 1400mah hump pack to the reciver /and run the leds
some parts need clearance mods because there made for the xxx nt but mainly just rear arms and pivot block

Will be back this summer with a redone beast of a car it will be pretty'er shinyer and faster RAWR !!!!

Make sure your head is on tight , get the new plug .
try xxx nt clutch shoes
the springs hooks are heated  to bend them so they are weak and break , just bend a new hook on both sides so you don't have to do this a second time!  can take a few coils out to stop it from moveing on idle and later cluth engagment = +torque
check your spinstart/backplate for excesive oil if so the bushing is worn and losing compression

It would be easier to just replace the combustion chamber. The same thing happened to mine, where the fuel would leak from under the plug. The new piece is like 8 bucks and an easy replacement. Part # is losr2117. Good luck.

if it leaking between the case and backplate silicon it. if it;s coming out off the spinstart replace the backplate the bushing is worn.a little oil is fine but if it leaking from the spinstart hole its too much

Just use Duracells for now, until you get more money, then buy a cheapo hump pack.

well i grew ot of the 5mph plastic-radioshack-type rc cars when i was 13, i have a speed nt just need some juice, is there a way to make a 9 volt work just for temp. i have plenty of them. mainly when i asked if anyone had any they could send, i was thinking maybe someone had a few extras they didnt care to get rid of one, or maybe that wouldn't hold a great charge, and would otherwise throw them away. i have some things i could trade but i would need more than batteries, i have a 15" subwoofer 350 wtt rms, and an xbox 360 120gb hdd, wireless remotes, mem card, intercooler Ts, and rechargeable batts for controllers,

i know this probably wont work, or that i should try craigslist but RC stuff isnt popular on CL around here

Okay then. This explains quite a bit, holly crap the Speen NT looks to be a flop, no wonder there are not many videos on the tube, and nobody with a Speed NT cared to post in on the Jato vs Speed NT thread. Not to mention this 5 page dead official thread filled with ambitions and failed parts.... The Speed NT is a flop Losi would rather forget about. Seems as though even the enthusiest for it have gotten rid of this RC...... Those.are some serious issues.

This looks like one of Losi's worst.... I have to laugh at those who said this peice of junk is higher quality then a Jato 3.3. Got to be kidding me........
