All right - now that's what I'm talking about - very slick. It's starting to take shape - nice work!

So, a single shock setup isn't out of the question now. Any suggestions for mounting?

That's the million dollar question. You'll just have to experiment to see what works the best.

I'm still going for the single shock/dual swing arm design mostly due to the small size, area to work with. I got a pic today of some wheels that I have had machined, I suspect they should all be done and ready in about a week or so. Post updates!

Well, I've got an idea for shock mounting, now I just need to fab up some swingarms. I've got the blueprints drawn, if anyone wants to see them.

Hey, it's not like I'm not happy for you, but this is kind of off-topic. Mods, can that be moved to one of the nitro new bright posts?

Well, I've finalized on the swingarms, just have to build now. Blueprints will be up in a few hours, probably in 5 hours.

Hey Subcaptain, do you have a template that you could post or PM me for that motor mount you did? It would save a little time and I would appreciate it. I got my wheels from a member on anotehr forum for my Rev and Fusion - both sets are awesome! He did excellent work for a fair price. Now I just need to measure and adjust with some would before I cut the suspension arms.

Well, made some progress tonight after a few weeks of ignoring it. Finished cutting out swingarms, and I'll probably drill the holes for mounting them tomorrow. Sorry for the long wait and lack of pictures, I really am still working on this! Question for you guys, though; when I drill the four holes in the tunnel for the suspension mounts, should I put aluminum strips down the inside of the tunnel to take the stress off the plastic?

Thanks guys,
Subcaptian

Oh, never mind about the aluminum strips. I just had an apiffinany; cut a line down the aluminum so I can move the whole suspension back, like a tensioner system for the track. Anyone follow me?

OK, holes are drilled in the swingarms, I promise pics will be up tonight! The front suspension peice is done, now I need to get more all-thread, nuts, and washers to finish the rear suspension peice.

might have to pick your brain a bit on this one for the motor you used and shock's

Ok well I have had a lot of people asking me about the rev xp so here is what I have gone an done today.

now these are just the test drive's for both the rev-xp and the mxz i'm going to put some relief notches in them yet and end plates to help guide the track
and help if any snow get's in there.
I am also waiting to get a new 1/4 ball nose end mill so I can make the slots deeper these were done with a 3/16 end mill but as I say its just a test.
the new tool I got is a indexing rotary table this is what i needed for making the slots perfectly spaced around the pulley.
So I guess let's see what I can do with this smaller sled I got some really good idea's for it but you will just have to wait an see as it gets built.

It seems that when the track is rubbin on that aluminum that the aluminum will eat up the track.

I thought of that too, but I realized that when the suspension is pushed up, the track goes straight to the drive wheel, and it doesn't touch the swingarm. Although, in the event that does happen I am going to be rounding the edges down so it slides over it. It's easier to see when the suspension is actually mounted, and at the rate I'm going that should be done soon if my supplies can be kept in stock, eg. nuts, washers, allthread, aluminum strips to support the tunnel, and so on. Hopefully, because of my perpetual laziness, one and a half to two weeks.

Regardless that there has been no significant snow fall here, I too have made some progress on my next gen-XP. Here is my prototype - and I do mean prototype - of my brushless 540 motor mount with pulley drive train. The final drive train ratio should be about 4.9:1.
