Status: offline 		I'm building a Double Impact by Ed Smith of Sign Language models. Will I need a seperate battery and ESC for each motor. Also I want to use a seperate battery for the radio gear so I can use heavier servos for the control surfaces as they are pretty large, especially the Rudder and Stab.

Status: offline 		You CAN use a separate battery with each ESC, I used a ESC for each motor and wired them together with one Deans plug that plugged into one battery.

I did not use a dedicated battery for the receiver.

If you are familiar with this model, what size ESC's, motors and battery would you reccomend. I think one battery for both motors would be a lot better than seperate batteries as they may discharge unevenly and possibly make each motor's RPM's different.

Status: offline 		I'm not familiar with your plane, my twins were a Hobico Twin Star and a Urovitch OV-10 each powered by 2 Axi 2820-10 motors and 40 amp ESC's., I used a battery out of my first single engine volter which was the wrong battery for twin operation, ran too hot but I can't recall what size batteries I switched to.
Call L.A. Johnson at Hobby Lobby, he's their electric gooroo.

Status: offline 		Hi, a couple of guys who have built the Double Impact short kit I supply, have told me they were going electric. Maybe we should reach out and ask for some feed back.
I also short kit the Twin Lizzy which is electric or gas. www.lasershortkits.com
