I am 80 percent trough the assembly of my Uproar . I am attempting to mount the throttle rudder and elevator servos , but the servo
tray is only 1/2 inch above the wing . Was there supposed to be a cut out in the wing top , where the fuselage is glued on , to accommodate the standard Futaba servos ? Hobbyco wants me to send the wing back , but it is glued to the fuselage and would be
very expensive . Any one else have this problem with an Uproar ?

I don't have that plane so bear this in mind...

Couldn't you glue a pair of small hardwood blocks to lift the servos when mounted so they fit?

Is the problem that there is no hole for the servos, or that they don't seat properly?

I built this plane as a kit and am currently covering the 60 size. If you look on page 15 of the instructions you will see a isometric drawing which seems to show the servos going through the top of the wing. Greg

The servo tray is actually in the wing. After the wing is glued into the fuselage, the servos are mounted upside-down, in the servo tray. The tops of the servos/servo arms should clear the radio hatch that is screwed onto the bottom of the fuselage and the bottoms of the servos should clear the top of the fuselage. I don't understand why your servos won't fit. Can you post a photo?

Tower has issued a technical notice to go in the kits . The notice instructs you to cut the balsa sheeting that covers the wing ,
before you glue the wing to the fuselage . This will give you the clearance for the servos to be mounted in the servo tray . I
guess the kit makers are not doing this cut any more . Tower was very helpful in finding a solution to this problem
Thanks for all the comments from forum members . Now I have to reinstall my battery , near the tail , to get the plane
to balance with an OS 46ax .
