US JET WORLD MASTERS
Roger is working incredibly hard getting everything together. This is shaping up to be one great event. I am even going to come, can't wait to meet so many of the people I have been "talking" to by e-mail. I'm not a pilot, but I have learned to appreciate the skill level at Roger's Route 66 Jets. Anyway, you are all in for a good time, take it from me! I know.

A shuttle bus will be available beginning Sunday, July 24 from 7 AM to 7 PM and will run to and from the Holiday Inn and the National Museum of the USAF event site. Most of the hotels/motels being utilized are within walking distance of the Holiday Inn.
The shuttle will run on the hour every hour (only) from the Holiday Inn with the last bus running to the museum at 6 PM. The bus will return from the museum event site on the ½ hour (only) beginning at 7:30 AM with the last bus leaving to return to the Holiday Inn at 6:30 PM.

Yes, the Uk / Ireland turnout is poor compared to Northern Ireland but then the locals could just jump in a ferry in their own car / van. I am sure cost is the main factor for most of us not attending this year. However I am sure the event will be first class with some superb models, I like the look of Vitaly Robertus's Yak. It will score well being scratch built and looks to fly really well. I will be glued to RCU for the duration! Switzerland 2013 is the next target with car travel being the best option for the UK contingent although who knows what the price of fuel will be by then.[]
I would like to wish the organisers the very best of luck and the same to all entrants for a wonderful WJM.

It would have been nice to have seen you here. The trip is expensive for all. When I came to Ireland I spent a lot of money to fly in the competition, but oh well. As a organizers stand point, It is definitely a benefit to have this competiton at a location where most can drive to but that is not the case for us Americans. We are excited to see the competitors, families, friends, and their aircraft. Definitely watch out on RCU for any updates.
How is that MB 339? Do you still have it?

I understand that a buss will leave each day from the Holiday Inn hotel to the Museum. I am leaving at Red Roof Dayton North Airport Hotel. Could you tell me please if the bus will stop at this hotel? If yes, let assume that the bus will leave from Holiday Inn at 8 pm. At what hour the bus will be at my hotel? Many thanks for your help.

The Red Roof Inn where you are registered is 15 miles from the Museum and the Holiday Inn. If you can, you might consider moving the registration to the Rod Roof Inn mentioned in Bulletin #3. It is only 1/2 mile from the Holiday Inn where all of you can use the Shuttle. Dayton is a decent sized city, I am sure there will be some transportation solution for your team.

Good news for RV's. The PortaKleen companywhich will be servicing the port-a-johns during the JWM will also provide "Honey Wagon" service to the RVs on site. If you notify David Thomas, he will call his contact and arrange your pick-up. The fees are as follows:
50 gallons or more: waste removal - $50
water added -$50
Less than 50 gallons: waste removal - $35
water added - $35
You will need to pay PortaKleen directly.
THEY DO NOT PROVIDE FRESH DRINKING WATER.

So far we have 57 Jets in the competition, some utilizing home built turbines.
I am looking forward to meeting all of the team members from the varous countries. This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for the United states. Out of the almost 20 years (9 events held every two years) the USA has never been selected to be the host nation. I am told that no other country has hosted the competition twice. As a result we probably won't see it here again for another 20 years. The folks participating are the best pilots and builders in the world. Man what a rush it's going to be to meet them and have an opportunity to see their work close up.
Thanks Roger and Dewey and all of the Staff for all of the hard work you guys have done to bring this event to the USA. See you guys soon!
We have 10 RC magazines registered to attend the show which is great. Jet Power, RC Jet International, Model Airplane News, and RC Sport Flyer has truly helped us spread the word. RC Universe and Facebook has also been great internet outlets for this Jet World Masters. Thanks to ALL of our sponsors.
Today I went flying in my champ and I must say we can only hope for weather like today. The temperature was in the mid 80's, light winds, clear and you could see for more than 50 miles with no problems.

Im getting all kinds of inquiry's and emails... Please not to worry.
When we all arrive, we will populate the Noon Slots with those who are ready and have been given priorty slots.. If there are more than that, we will find appropriate times... I will ensure that everyone gets their opportunity to priority fly.
When competition is not going on, Competitor practice has the highest priority, then Priority flying, then Open flying .. There will be ample opportunity for all. Dayton is the best flying site there is... runway is as smooth as a table top.. See you in a few days! Travel safe everyone..
The [link=http://jwm2011.com]Jet World Masters website[/link] just got a update with the pictures of the pilots that will be participating. Our Facebook group is starting to pick up some activity from the pilots that are coming to the show.
Remember: Open Jet Flying is also open to non JWM competitors. Go to the website and download a registration.
Radio Commercials will start on July 24 and will continue all the way through the event. bring your jets to the show so you can enjoy this once in a life time experience and show the world what you have. We already have 10 magazines registered to attend the show from all over the world.
