I have the suspicion that there is no such thing as "instructions" for the Dodger. It's an older design, but I have a friend that is building one from an old kit that he has laying around, when I get home, I'll ask if there is any text accompanying the plans, but I doubt it. Since the Dodger was a very competitive Q-500 racer in it's day, it was never intended to be built by those that did not already have extensive experience with building directly from plans, thus I doubt if there is anything available other than the actual plans. It's about as simple as a model airplane design can be (which was the whole point of Quickie racing in the first place)

Since all of the built-up balsa Q-500 planes are pretty similar, any of the various "build threads" that are posted here and other places around the internet would provide you with the general guidance that you are looking for. The Dave Norman "Seeker" build thread by AJ Seaholm and the Dan Kane "HurriKane" build threads are particularly applicable.

Seeker: http://www.teamseaholm.com/rcpylon/seeker.htm

HurriKane: http://www.supertrc.com/instructions/Hurrikane.asp

Good Luck!

There were instructions, I have a set at my other house, probably be a couple weeks before I go up, but if you don't find them let me know and I can get them.

I called my friend who has the Dodger kit under construction and had him look in the box. He has the plans sheet but no instructions, so if Dave N has 'em, or if you can get them from the designer, that would probably be the best way. Sorry that I couldn't find any.

I remember building a few and the instructions have provisions for a conventional tail, V-tail, and also a T-tail (sorta). When I built mine, I'm pretty sure I couldn't have figured out where all those pieces went without the plans and instructions. It is like 4 or 5 sheets of written instructions with a couple diagrams if I remember correctly.

Does anyone have Grunks email? I suppose we could see if the designer has them?

Found them this morning, will get them scanned in a couple days. I'll check with AJ it might make sense to have some of these vintage instructions/plans on the NMPRA website.
