If you're constantly looking for flags while you drive to make sure the wind is blowing in the same direction as your field's runway, and that it's not too windy. Even on days you're not even flying.

When youre sitting here sneaking posts on RCU while your boss (who is visiting from out of town for the first time in a few months) is standing at the edge of your cubicle carrying on a conversation. And then you offer to get him up on a buddy box so he too can experience the joys of flight.

Man I am always looking at flags. There are 2 outside my window and my fellow workers often hear me mumble, "the wind looks really good".

While driving down the road you see all the corn and bean field that would make a bueatiful air field for your club or eaven a new club. And the whole time your thinking what a waste of a good flying site

You allow your wife to think you may be having an affair just to keep her from knowing how much time and money you are really spending on the hobby. When busted you say," No it is just my hobby time." However you never considered that to loose her man to another woman is part of life, but to an airplane is un-comprehendible and devastating. Or so I am told! LOL I bought some expensive jewelry at full retail !!

You throw a piece of card board towards the recycling bin, it catches air and instinctively you snap you head back around to see the flight characteristics. I watched it flutter all the way to the ground and then wondered why I thought that was so important. Instincts from taking flying notes on my planes. Crazy.

you have an attic full of tail sections and broken wings of airplanes that I will rebuild someday.

You take two weeks off from work to build an airplane.

I can't remember all the times I have taken vacation to build a new plane!

Planning on doing it again soon so I can finish the fuse on my Grumman Duck.

Calling in sick to build falls into the picture as well.

My worse case is I have so many plans that I have no place to keep them all and now they fill a closet and part of the living room. And yes I am married, just to a real great woman!!

I forgot one.
You buy a house just because it has a heated huge garage with 50 amp breakers in it. Did just that this week!

That place looks nice and secluded.

Hawk
I have everything for the PBF but I'm very obsesses...er...focused on my new Knife right now. All my brainpower is going into how to afford a new engine, realflight (for office flying) and building a new rolling fieldbox that has everything (including drink holder).

Billy,
Yes, very far out there. If you are on my road you are coming to see me or lost. I can run up engines with no worries now!

You plan the "out of town" part of your vacation around which are the best weekdays to visit your local club field.

Just did that.

Oh yea,

You build on to your garage an air conditioned place to store planes, not because thers planes everywhere in the house but because you just moved into gassers and the whole house smells like gasoline

A drink holder....hmmmm...I'll have to add that to my ultimate field box design. When you are not at the field you can use it in the shop to hold the Colorado Kool Aid Are you making a different box than the one you posted about? Do you have a foundation for the idea yet? Plano has a nice rolling box. About the only one I found that will hold a gal jug inside.

If I build this thing I'll take photos. I just have to make sure the size is right to fit in my Caddy with my Knife. I sent you an email.
