Lewis, could you or an engineer (or anyone else) explain the 1024 stick resolution in the tracker II? How does it differ from normal TX's or 1024 PCM TX's? Does it use an analog to digital converter that uses the 10 bit code to control the timer that generates the PPM pulses...or something like that? (I'm really not that technical : )

A simple layman's explanation is fine for me but inquiring minds want to know.

The 1024 merely refers to the stick steps in relation to the servos. There are 1024 steps in the movement of the servo from end to end. Therefore, your seros operate more smoothly in stead of the more jerky movements of standard systems.

Must the servo trvel be set to 100% to get all 1024 steps, or if I reduced servo travel to less, say 75% would I still get all 1024 steps?

If the answer is yes, then with less travel it seems I would have finer servo movement.

This is a very esoteric question without a good answer. However, the maximum steps are 1024 and is probably reduced by less throw. You now get into mechanical aspects of the gears, potentiameter and gimbal that will restrict this when you give it less throw. Perhaps a theoretical scientist could answer this, but it's beyond me.

All the best,
Lewis Polk
