I have purchased a glider that has no instructions. It is an ARTF Twister and I have managed to put it all together apart from joining the wings.
I have a brass tube (which can only be fitted through the fuselage) and two pieces of wire withe the ends bent.
There is also a hole in the wing roots that corresponds with the hole in the fuselage for the brass tube (I think).
How do these wings fix on? Does the brass tube go through the fuselage?
Help!!!!!

I don't know about the Twister, but there's usually a piece of hardened steel rod long enough to go through the fuselage and out into each wing. This "wing rod" is a slip fit into the brass tubing. For three-meter glider, the wing rod will be about 5/16" in diameter.

The rod is usually straight, which means the brass tubing in the wings will be positioned at a slight angle to give the proper dihedral. You want to get a near perfect installation, so the wings will fit tight up against the fuselage and the angle between the fuselage and the wing will be the same on both sides.

You will also need an alignment pin at the rear of the wing. This will set the angle of incidence and keep the wing from rotating on the wing rod.

Without seeing a photo, I'm not sure what the two pieces of wire withe the ends bent are for.

You will need some sort of hooks screwed into the wing roots so you can hold the wings up to the fuselage with a rubber band. You'll have to cut holes in the sides of the fuselage for the hooks to fit through. The rubber band (or a spring) will go from one hook to the other inside the fuselage.

What I have described is a common way to attach the wings to a glider, but it may not be the way the Twister was designed. I did a Google search, but didn't find much about it. Hope it helps.

Good luck,
Roger
