After winning a used 4.6 on Ebay, I decided to rebiuld my old .21 (also got used from ebay about 2 years ago) from the ground up using parts from both trucks....gotta get ready for the warm weather .

recently won MGT on the left...old one on the right (time to put the mini on the shelve)

After doing some research on the net, i got a lil click happy over the past weekend
Dynamite Big Red .28 Monster Truck Engine
Losi Tuned Pipe & Side Header (high speed???)
Dynamite Long Life Clutch Shoes
Mugen 1.1 springs

Also
RPM Arms
RC Raven Dual Rate Springs
Factory Team Shock Caps
Revo Wheels & Tires
MGT 8.0 Bumpers
Nova Screw kit

I also will be installing New Era Bash protection system (rollcage with side plates)

Im a basher and looking for suggestions on building a reliable, durable, bullet proof MGT.
Here are few questions i have.

-Stock bearings or aftermarket ones like FULLFORCE RC bearings?

-Steering hub/block..Stock, Aluminum, or RPM? Ive broking one of these before...

-Should i change the arm mounts (front only or both)? Ive heard they can break pretty ez. I also broke one the very first time i drove my truck, but since then (about 2 years ago) i haven't had any problems with them.

-Should i go with the 8.0 tranny setup (spur & slipper)? I have two 4.6se trannys that are in good condition. Ive never had any problem with the 4.6 trannys, but i know the 8.0 tranny is stronger and more durable.

-1.1mm springs? or should i go with 1.0mm? With the added weight of the rollcage, im concerned about launch and acceleration.

-The Losi pipe im getting (LOSB5057) is also the high speed version...not the HT (i think it may just be a rebagde 086...not sure). I found it on sell at amain hobbies for $35 ($70 reg) with side header that looks like it should fit perfect on the mgt...i cant even find this pipe on amains site anymore  .
Should i have gotten a High Torque or OFNA/Dynamite 086 pipe instead? and if so which header/manifold to use?...since the mgt side header uses a coupler and not springs that the other pipes require.

Any advise on anything else i can use for my rebuild?
Thanks in advance

Ill be updating this thread with my progress and pic as i continue.....
