standard jr wall charger over night or my hobbico field fast charger?

Put it on the wall charger for 18 hours. It also depends on the battery size. What size is it?

you can never go wrong w/ a nice slow charge for the first (or several) charge's.

it is always best to slow charge the packs the first time...they need to "setup" the chemistry properly as out of the factory they are not "setup" from what I understand and the way to do that is a nice full slow charge...once done the chemistry inside the cell is as it should be and other chargers or rates would be ok...check Red's Battery Clinic as there is more on this there...

On the second page of the thread list for this forum there is a thread entitled, "New Pack Capacity??" It was posted on 3-14-02.
Take a look there. Some of your questions may be answered.
As Marc said, checking out the battery clinic is a good place to look for info.
