Just mounted a YS 140 FZ in my DP Ulty and having problems getting the idle and transition form low to hi speed set.
Using APC 16 X 10.
Haven't tached it, but engine seems to run fine at hi speed. Bringing back to idle, engine continually drops rpm.
From idle, if I firewall throttle, engine hesitates but eventually reaches hi speed.
Everything acts like the low speed adjustment is too rich, but low speed adjustment (which turns opposite of most engines) doesn't seem to have much affect.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Wilrc

How much and what type of fuel did you run for break-in. I have the same engine and you really have to break those bad boys in, but when you do, hold on to your hat, because the power and reliability is unbelievable.

We're running a 16x8 APC. We use 30% Heli Cool Power. About a gallon and a half to two gallons of fuel will break it in nicely.

The low end mixture is too rich. It needs to be leaned.
You can visit my site to see how to set it up.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll change to a 16 X 8 prop, go through the on line tune up procedure and see how it goes.

lnorris, different strokes. I've had nothing but success with the 16x8 APC and the 30% fuel combo. To each his own...

Either way, you shouldn't have any problems.
