I am looking for insight into the selection of a ZDZ engine for the PICA 1/5 scale Mustang P51D Kit.

I have been reading and it seems the 40cc would be a marginal choice, the 50cc sounds good but is new and a pitts muffler is not listed on the RCshowcase website.

I have had discssions with people who own ZDZ 60's and recommend them highly. But I am not sure if the 60 is too big.

I have read about guys recommending the Zenoah G-62 but the cowl gets cutup. The ZDZ 40RV-L has the same HP and is lighter so I thought either the 40 or the 50 would work well.

Others thoughts would be appreciated.

The ZDZ 50 was one of the possible engines for my Hanger 9 80" Cap 232. RC Showcase does offer a Bisson Custom Muffler in the Inverted Pitt's style. Here's a link to their page to order it.

If you go to accessories and select "In Cowl Mufflers" there is a table that shows all of the mufflers they offer. It's just that they have no picture for the inverted Pitt's to fit the ZDZ 50 yet. Here's a link to that page.

Hope this helps!!
