Hi All,
I am a bit new the gas boating scene and need a little help with setup:
I have a RTR microburst with a mod G23 and pipe. The boat and engine runs good but I am thinking it could use some tweaking to get more of the hull out of water on plane. The back of the boat has four trim tabs. Am I correct in thinking the two inner tabs will be the major adjustment for getting the nose up and down and the outer is for cornering?
Also, with my rudder perfectly centered I am having to hold left rudder in the boat at full speed. Is there a way to tweak this out, the boat does also have a skeg on right rear of boat.

Thanks for any help during my learning phase

Mike

You could use a more lifting prop. What prop is on it now and how modified is the G23?? You are correct on the use of the tabs. However, be sure you understand that loosening them up ie, raising them could make the boat or squirly. Consider the prop first.

Thanks Curt,
The motor is a warehouse hobbies pro mod G23. I honestly dont know what the prop is on it as it came with package, is there a way to read these props? I was going to mention, the little bit on running I have done, I noticed the prop is sending up a large rooster tail, especially at high speed. There is some room to put prop more in water but wasnt sure if this would help or hurt so havent tried it.
I did do the GPS readings and so far top speed has read 44MPH. I do know engines pretty well (been playing with them long time) and by sound of engine and looks of plug it is dead on.
Thanks
Mike
