Mashers on a XXX-T? Man, that's obsurd.. XXX-Ts do NOT run paddle tires.. Infact, unless you are running in mud, nothing needs paddles.

Here is the way tire selection works......

Hard surface = small spikes
Soft surface = longer spikes

The best hop-up I can suggest won't make you faster, but it will make you break less... Trinity alloy pivot blocks..

There are two ways to go faster. 1) increase power. 2) drop weight
U can add a cell to your pack to make u run faster, 7 cells will go faster than 6. A light weight ESC with low resistance will help alot. U can also put on a lot of graphite. Even changing your pinion will change how ur truck accerates and its top speed. But u might just be better off getting a good Mod motor.

They increase your speed cuz they have a bigger O.D.. Paddle tires offer lousy traction on anything but sand or mud. They don't steer worth crap cuz of the square shoulder. Monster trucks are fine with paddles, but nimble race trucks deserve better.

Yeah - they're quite a bit bigger around than most of your ST tires. Top speed will be a bit better, but it'll take a while to get there. A tire that large puts more strain on your motor just to try to turn 'em, which causes heat issues. Please don't show up on race day with those...

Cheap and easy speed - go with a larger pinion (1 or 2 teeth at a time and keep an eye on the temp), or add a 7th cell.
