I'm jealous that you've had the privilege of flying in a T-28. Thanks for sharing your photos.

I too had the 65" Black Horse T-28. As hard as I would try to imagine that it looked like a T-28, I just couldn't get past how unscale that plane was. Sure, anyone could paint a plane and put the markings on it to resemble a T-28, but I feel thats exactly what B.H did. I don't miss that plane at all.

Buying the ESM T-28 was the best decision I ever made. I'm sure you'll just love it!

Status: offline 		Hi T-28 Pilots. I will be putting a Zenoah G-45 in my T-28. I'll used 4 metal hex bolts to hold the wing on. Some people may say IT'S OVER KILL but I fly my airplanes HARD. I like doing aerobatics and the T-28 can do just about any radical maneuver. If any of you followed my F7F Tigercat build, you know I build like it is a full size aircraft. This EMS kit shows 3 Easy Hinges in the ailerons - NOT ACCEPTABLE for heavy flying with a gasoline engine Banging Engine. The pictures show the rope "Tourniquet" method to pull 2 wing sections together. The large dowel pieces inserted in the wing center leading edge are from a Coat Hanger Rod. The Blind nuts are 1/4-20 and are the longer "Deeper Ones" with more threads. Any questions Have at it... Col. Chuck Winter

Status: offline 		Hi T-28 pilots. Missed one of my Wing Bolt installation pictures showing the size and installation of large dowel in wing leading edge. I pre-drilled center of dowel undersize on a drill press to insure the hole was straight through the dowel. I put a thin wood dowel in hole to position the large dowel so t would line up with guide hole in fuselage. I then added the resin mixd with chopped glass. Status: offline 		Hi T-28 Pilots, Installing my horizontal stabilizers. I used 2 carbon tubes that go through the fuselage. Used the "Tourniquet" method to pull both horizontal stabs. together. The only concern I have is that my kit is missing the wing and flap servo covers. The aileron servo covers have part of the word NAVY on it and the other cover has the center part of the Air Force insignia on it. I sent VQ (Thomas) pictures of the wing so he would know what is missing. It's been 3 weeks and no word. I also sent 2 email messages NO ANSWER. I can make the covers and do some airbrush work but the point I want to make, is that I am UNHAPPY with the lack of concern about a product they sell that is suppose to be complete. Col. Status: offline 		VQ Thomas I received one SPAM message from you on 18 Jan. My pictures showed the missing covers. Your answer that the covers were wrapped in foam and I should look in the wing for them. I have built the wing, fuselage and horizontal stabilizer. I have cut up the BIG packing box and made a carrying cradle for my T-28. I didn't mention that the wing openings for the flap covers were not cut out. I DID NOT GET THE Aileron and Flap covers. Status: offline 		Hi T-28 Pilots, Some pictures installing horns in horizontal stabilizers. The horns are Du-Bro Large Scale "T-Style" #366. The horns and resin will be shaped into stabilizer surface and painted later. I don't like the suggested Bell Crank and Wire cable method. I like having 2 servos on my stabilizer so I can adjust each one if necessary. I also feel that with a Zenoah G-45 pulling this T-28 and hoping to do all the Snap Maneuvers I want and have the Strength and Positive action of the entire Stabilizer. (My personal sentiments) Picture intercepting a Russian TU-95 Bear. Col. Chuck Winter

He volunteered to take wing covers out of another T-28 kit and send them to me. Thomas is very sincere in making customers happy. I told Thomas not to take servo wing covers out of another kit, I will make them and do the painting. Thomas volunteered to give me a credit on my next VQ purchase. The Engine is a VT 42 From Germany, the Manufacturer was a Little Machineshop.
Google to VT42 , you can find all wath you need.
 
Distance is 160mm from Wall to Outerpoint Cowl

Is this a normal average weight? I was hoping for close to 8 kilo and then the Roto 35FS should be enough power. Nice sound combined with a nice airplane....

I'm in the middle of trying to install a Hangtime Hobbies Giant size Hidden Panel on the L/S of the fuse close to the CG. Problem I'm having is trying to cut into the FG without destroying the painted edges of the panel. I'm very open to suggestions as what to use besides (Xacto Knife or Xacto Micro saw)...
Any Ideas???
