I got it bolted up, pictures tuesday hopefully and maybe a video next weekend, looks great on there but nothing is plumbed and the throttle isn't hooked up yet, gonna start with a 15x6 prop after looking into the engine specs a bit more, I'd like a 16x4 but want to try the 15x6 first and see how that goes, going to eventually buy another cowl to cut for this engine, the one for my saito 91 never even flew on the plane, I left it off for convenience, but this would look sooo nice cowled with the cylinders hanging out...

got a few flights in today, first couple flights the engine kept dropping a cylinder, but I got it sorted out and it flew like a champ the rest of the day, I actually think it flys better with the added weight, it's more predictable on slow passes...gonna switch to a 16x4 prop from the 15x6 I have on now, also gonna ditch the 5" tires for some 6" tundra tires...

Final got my GP Cub out for its first flights. I had it done earlier this year but I did not like the way the old os FS61 was running so I replaced it with a Saito 72. The plane flew great the first flight and only needed minor trim changes. The Saito has lots of power and I only needed about ½ throttle for a nice flying speed. I’m sure I will need the extra power as I get more comfortable with the plane.

After 8 flights one of the wing strut ca hinges broke. So I'm going to replace all of them with plastic ones used to hinge control surfaces on large scale planes.

I have heard of guys making hinges out of coke bottles and they are supposto work pretty good but I dont know why you wouldnt just use a regular pinned hinge from Du Bro or somthing like that...Thats what I did the first time... Can you post a pic of the hinge you have in mind...It might help sombody out...I was using Those flat ones with the brass cotter pin...I am not sure who makes them...I think its Du-Bro....I would post a pic if I knew how...

I mix some rudder in with my ailerons on all my Cubs...I put it on a switch that I can turn on and off...I like having the option of flying without the mix but it really helps....A Cub will teach you more about flying than any other plane I know...All you need to do is watch it fly...I guess thats why I like it to be slow ..A nice co-ordinated turn looks so cool , Ya the raidio can do it for you but its nice to be able to do it for yourself too...

I also have the rudder mixed with ailerons. I like the cub and have been thinking about getting the Hangar 9 1/4 Scale P 18 Super Cub. I see you have one.

Yes I do ..I am putting it together slowly...It is a very precision built plane...Everything fits...All the hardware is top notch...It a nice plane...I am not a big ARF fan but This is the best one I have seen so far...There were a few broken parts but Horizion replaced them for me quickly and hassel free...I have been treated great by customer service...The landing gear is almost as good as Robarts.Maby is as good..Time will tell....There is hard points already installed for floats too...Pluss you can buy floats for it that bolt rite on...Kind of a nice option...I am looking forward to spring and doing the maiden...If I can still fly...
