Glad you got to find out what so few know. The big Giles is an excellent plane. The only thing that seems to be wrong with it is it's not an Yak or an Extra. That's to the good though since the Giles is probably better than most Yaks and Extras It's also about the only 41% aerobat I can think of that fits in the back of a long bed pick up/

Man...that is MOST excellent.  Well flown, well filmed.

And I must agree....apparently that IS a well kept secret...that airplane looked a whole lot friendlier at high alpha than I would have expected out of a Giles.  WHY i had such an opinion, never having flown one, i don't know.  Guess it's a reminder not to trust snap judgments.

Hey Tom...I'm jealous.  Can I send you MY smoke on vid too?  *lol*

The Giles has gained a bad reputation from nothing. There is absolutely nothing wrong about the Giles and a lot that is better than other designs, yet people in this hobby spread the word that somehow a Giles doesn't fly well. Anyone who has flown one loves it.

Just FYI I have never had anyone who bought a Giles from me call up and complain about the way it flies. Never.

My favorite criticism is that they are "short coupled". First, I don't even know what that means, but if they are saying the plane is short they are dead wrong, a Giles has the longest fuselage-to-wingspan ratio of any aerobatic plane flying. Yet the people persist in saying things that are just silly.

Absolutely.

I am still loving the Giles. I am finishing up the third year of flying it. I am soooo glad that I have another one new in the box when this one reaches its expiration date. Here is the latest video.

Nice video, looks cold!

I have one of those planes, used, that I took in trade for some other stuff. And I have a new-in-box DLE-111 available also.

If someone is interested you can call me at 972-399-9453 (972-399-wild). $500 each or $950 for plane and engine. Just add servos.
