Whilst building my coropsit I had to move the spar back about 1/2" as I felt it was to close to the LE. I think this was due to a slight mistake when upscaling my measurements. Anyway I am now wondering where to check my C of G from.

Should my C of G be taken from...?

A. Using the original spar position as the balance point?

B. Using the new slightly further back spar position?

C. Using a pre-determined measurement from the LE, and if so what is this measurement?

Or

D. Phone a friend/ use 50 50 or ask the audience...?
(Which is what I am actually doing.)

Thank you.

Moving the spar back1/2 inch moves the center of lift back 1/2 inch.

Start with the CG where it is in the plans, You may have to move the CG back to get top performance.

The first flight of a new plane I use a heavy hub to make sure the plane is some what nose heavy.

Then start moving the CG back 1/8 th inch at at time till it snaps out of the top of a loop with full elevator.

Good luck.

I'm new enough to 3d and funfly type flying that I'm not familiar with the term "snapping out". What exactly does this refer to?

Thanks!!!!

"snap out" when talked about with referance to loops etc is when the plane wont do a full loop with full elevator, it sort of rolls out of the loop on its own for no aparent reason this can be caused by a few things one is too much elevator authority and the others i think are wrong CG & too small tail feathers may be some one else has abetter explanation
