My wife got me two of the cases just before last Father's Day, for just under $13.00...it's the one that can hold two xmtr's, and has the tool-caddy under the foam on the lid. Well made, and I am happy with mine - just wish she had bought me four of them!! I have 4 cases now, one about the same size, just not as well made, and one that holds a single transmitter. With 4 I hold 3 transmitters, 2 field chargers, all the added goodies that go with them. Actually, the single xmtr case is my daughters, and her transmitter....

So, you might keep an eye out at Lowe's around Dad's Day...and if they go on sale, cut pictures out and leave them laying around for the wife and kids to find!!!

The Lowes near me is having their grand opening May 1st, I am hoping they have a good sale on them, If they do I am going to get a couple of them. I like the Home Depot box ok so far, But I like the looks of box better, and the fact that the Lowes box comes with foam already in it, plus the extras like the carrying strap. Im just hoping that the dimensions of the Lowes box fits on the custom field box I make.

Does anyone know if the 9C has the "flight conditions" feature?

Thanks,

John Wells

Flight conditions are basically putting 3 different flight setting on 1 switch. With the flip of 1 switch all your control throw rates change to a pre determined amount of travel. Its basically having all your dual rates on 1 switch.
And yes the 9CA has a 3 position switch where you can program your flight conditions, and you can program any percentage of expo on each condition. Hope this helps, Daz...

Flight Conditions:

Very simply put, if your plane flies straight and narrow at half throttle and tends to climb at full throttle you can program your flight condition so that flipping a switch your plane will fly straight and narrow at full throttle. I.E., the trims are set one way for half throttle, another way at full throttle.

My T6AXS has programmable mixers. Is this the same as a flight condition or is a flight condition more sophisticated?
Thanks Ed

ok...I now have both the Home Depot box, and the Lowes box. The Lowes box is a better buy, includes nice foam, strap, etc. The dimensions are a little smaller than the HD box, but has about the same amount of room. I like the quality of the Lowes box better.

I also found another cool box on wheels at Lowes. Has a padded fold down tray for laptops and such. Might make a nice electronics box, for a radid, etc.

Respectfully, dazzler, you are incorrect. What you described is basically waht JR thinks a "flight mode" is; however, a true flight condition is so much more.

On teh 9Z, the only Futaba radio with true conditions, you can have up to 8 flight conditions. in those 8 conditions you can change nearly everything in the radio for that setup -- ATVs, dual rates, exponentials, trim settings, mixes, and oh so much more.

The 6X has very limited mixing capability and has the option to put the 3 dual rates on a single switch.

The 8U has more extensive mixing capability and some assignability of switches.

The 9C has more mixing capability and more extensive switch assignability.

The 9z is a whole generation away iwth full condition functionality and full switch/stick/slider assignability.
