Hi; :)

Based on my experience...... I chose the Hornet cause you can do alot w/it like the mods compared to the pico, not saying that it can't but IMO I think that more pilots are flying the Hornet.

Thanks/John :D

I had a piccolo for a while and cant recommend that thing to anyone, I tried everything to get it more stable and run longer, but I was far from impressed with it:(

I have not had nor seen a hornet in person yet

I see that Ikarus is making a 3d type piccolo, wonder about that one

Heard that the hornet has collective pitch mechanism and can even fly inverted.

I have a Piccolo and have to agree that they really are more work than they are worth, as for which is better the Piccolo wins for durability and the Hornet wins for flight characteristics. They also have a Collective pitch version of the Piccolo, just keep in mind that by the time you get all the stuff you need to make one of these little guy's fly you'll have as much in it as a 30 sized helicopter. It's just not as much fun flying around the house as I thought it would be.

hmm...i thought flying around the dining table and sofas should be a blast. You think I should wait until these little guys are improved further?

Well I played around with mine for a few month's blew $200 on batteries trying to find some that would fly longer than 4 minutes and not burn them selves up doing it. The motors get really hot and don't last long, they are not that easy to fly I flew mine around in a two car garage (minus the two cars) and at times that seemed a little small. I just think there are better things you could spend your money on, but if you have your heart set on one I really can't recommend one over the other, you'll be just as happy or unhappy with either one.
