I accidentally bought 25% airplane fuel instead of the 30% heli fuel. I noticed that it yields less smoke and less power but it runs pretty cool at ~190F
I've also noticed that after hovering for a couple minutes the rpm drops and the heli barely stays above ground.

Am I too lean or too rich?
Can this fuel damage my engine since it doesn't have as much lubricant as the heli fuel?

P.S. I'm currently just hovering with a hoola-hoop

Thanks

if you have at least 18% oil your fine.
to be safe try and richen the engine up 4 to 5 clicks and see if the tune changes,if not then lean the engine out a little at a time to get a good tune.

If you are worried about oil, buy some klotz and add some. I like a 20 % oil mix, but that is just me.

If it's got caster mixed in, expect the brown 'gook' to build up on the eng and muffler.

Stick with 100% synthetic for helis.
