if you thought nitro are the fastest rcs sit down and lison to my story
World's Fastest RC Car
Cliff Lett's remote-control car can reach speeds of up to 111 mph.

There are three basic rules for racing remote-control cars.

1.Wash and wax your car regularly, but don't throw it in the dishwasher.
2.Steer clear of miniature donut shops. That's where the miniature Highway Patrol hangs out.
3.Do not challenge Cliff Lett to an RC car race, because he will beat you. Easily.

Lett is the head of the design team at Team Associated, a sort of mad scientists' laboratory for RC cars. His modified RC10 L3O Insane Speed Run car posted a speed of 111 mph at a speed-record attempt at Irwindale Speedway in 2001.
That speed has been verified by the folks over at Guinness World Records, and it leaves the official posted record of 59.09 mph in its dust. Lett's record isn't on the Guinness World Records site yet, but he's got the certificate to prove the record is legit.

there you go you nitro people nitro is not faster
heres what cliff used in his speed run
1.Use a Reedy-modified motor with less than 12 turns. Make sure your speed control can handle the turn motor you purchase.
2.Increase the size of the motor pinion gear or decrease the spur gear size.
3.Use a Lehner brushless motor (XL 4200) and Schulze 18-128 brushless speed control.
4.Use Reedy Extreme racing batteries. Use seven or more cells, depending on your speed control limit.
5.Pick a car body that's more aerodynamic. Make sure the front of the body isn't blunt or flat. You want the body to be rounded and smoothly shaped.

also, the runs that were 111mph and 95.6 mph were with a specially made motor by mike reedy with neodermium (sp) magnets which are WAY stronger, what is a big reason why the cars went so fast. The pan car hitting 111 used like 24 cells.

www.rccaraction.com has the story somewhere with all the exact facts.

actually the previous world record is crap kause no body took the time to challenge it. And actually the nitro guys were the first to break the 100mph barrier with a HPI super nitro at just over 100mph i think it was like 103 or sumthing

ok off-road kill, the tc3 achieved 96.4 mph (or something like that) and the rc10l3 or something got the 112. There were both, so hockey was right 'bout the tc3

I think the 200mph was like on a line or something? I know there was one that was, i didnt look at the link above so this might be a different one, but if its got the guide line it might not be considered right... and the 112 last i heard wasnt official after all for guiness b/c they guiness reps couldnt make it or something.
