The plans say its supposed to be 1-1/8" in back of that former. I don't know if thats on center or face to face. I glued mine in parallel because if I need to flare it out, I can always furr it out with some wood. The pictures in the manual show it parallel.

Thanks chilie for the measurements,

Ok, so here's some updating pictures to show some of 10+ hrs to design and build a almost completely custom fin. The actual side profile dimensions are exactly the same as what the plans, except, the actual shape of the fin has changed significantly. I think it matches a lot closer to the actual aircraft, having a rounded airfoil design. I thank Kelsey_B for supplying me with some PDF drawings from his Royal 60 Corsair, they helped immensely to provide a more true to scale fin. Probably this weekend I'll tackle the rudder and maybe if I've got enough time, then I might also design/build the Stabilizer so I can finish the top half of the fuselage sometime this month.

Please let me know if I should re-enforce anything. I believe it should be pretty structurally sound. The TE of the fin is 1/8 ply. The ribs are built out of 3/32 and 1/8 balsa. The LE is the same balsa supplied with the kit, except I will have to add some 1/8 balsa on both sides to make it wide enough to be shaped properly. The LE doubler is 1/8 balsa. The outer layer sheeting is 1/16 balsa. It will mount exactly as the kit was supposed to.

Please let me know if you feel I should re-enforce anything, as the one side of the fin's sheeting is still removed. Ok, so a few pictures....
