OK got my Flasher 450 assembled and my servos installed but am a not sure of a couple things. I am using a Hitec 5084 MG which is a digital servo for the tail. Do I need to throw the "DS" DIP switch on the gyro (HB730) from OFF to ON?

Thanks Flyin!

I hopped it off the ground this morning for a couple seconds and realized the head speed is WAAAY to fast. Still figuring out the new Futaba 8FG. I'm out of time today and have to leave in a few minutes but will get back on it late tonight or tomorrow. I want to thank everyone for their help so far. I am having trouble getting pictures off my SD card but I realized my chopper looks exactly like everyone elses anyway . I do like seeing how everyone is installing the electronics and routing the wires, hard to keep it all neet.

Later fellas!
David

i noticed that target hobby just raised their price on the
flasher sport to $149.00 and with shipping it makes it around
$185.00 is it still worth it??
i was interested in it but their is not allot of feedback so far in this thread
about how well this heli flies.
what pinion are you guys running on the hobbymate 4825 ?
and how well does this gyro hold any drifting?
thank you

got the heli combo, Yes, it fly quite stable, the motor runs smooth, silent, a lot of power, looks nice, esc is easy to program, gyro lock very well, just like gy401 futaba, but I did not fly any 3d action.
just one thing, as steve written, the ball linkage is not better as align, a little tight, but it does not affect the hover. I am using a towerpro 9 gram cheap servo on tail, a little drift, seems the speed cannot follow the gyro, I will change some better digital servo, like futaba 9257, 9650, or Jr, hitec, MKS tail servo.
anyway, this combo impress me with the all carbon frame, precise alu head & tail assembly, the motor, esc, and gyro.

it is absolutely worth the price.

We've got about a dozen flights on this bird now and the motor is showing signs of failure. Every once in a while it will just adjitate back and forth instead of turn. Just be aware of it!!
