Personally, I would forget the flying wires and build new elevators out of 3/8", and then sheet the stab with 1/16" balsa. Here's why: You will tear the elevator counter balances off in walls or while taxiing.

Cost: The kit plus covering, spinner, radio gear etc. Easily $200 or more.

Just build the elevators normal and reenforce with triangle stock on all corners and carbon fiber strips along all main parts of the elevator, that s what we did and it added almost no weight and its very strong.

First off I wall mine daily with the flying wires and a reinforced elevator. My 3D is done to the extreams and no problems as of yet.

As to how it cost over $200: Kit: $120 Ultrakote: (4 rolls) $52 Primer, paint, clearkote for cowl: $15 Kevlar tail wires: $15

Well, obviously its going to be over 200 with radio gear, etc. I meant just building the kit (thanks souther_touch).
