Don't know what it was mike, but mine, and 2 other friends had the same problem. OS took mine and worked a deal with me on other engines, and I sold the second one I bought without trying it. Didn't want to go through it again. One of my friends tried the second one after OS rebuilt the first and it didn't work, but the new one does the same thing. They are mounted upright. Don't know what the deal is. bummer, it would have been the perfect engine for many of my planes. Haven't decided what I am going to do next. I was hoping OS would come out with a good fix, like putting the needle back in the carb where it belongs. I am gunshy on them right now. I won't buy another one with remote needle unless I absolutly have to. The 46 FX has the same type setup and seems to run ok, but I don't like the rear needle. It is unfortunate that they think everyone should run the needle there. I believe it gives some a false sense of security. I don't believe it is any safer. If a bonehead is going to stick his fingers in the prop, he is still going to do it with the rear needle. I really hate trying to plumb it back there and fill the tank. Glad yours work well. They would be a perfect engine for many planes. I bought two when I saw them, but unfortunately, this happened. I sure like the way OS handled the situation though. They are first class!
