Gone like so any others.
If you could get an old issue of RCBM, you could look through it and see how many have gone away over the years. Some sell their molds to someone else or some just close up shop. MRP was one of the first companies to make Monster Trucks, they had one that would float on water it was so light!

Does anyone have any idea of where you can get any of their old boats? Mainly the Bud Dry Catamaran. I have been looking for one for years on ebay.... ? Could there possibly be one sitting at some hobby shop somewhere, or were they all sent back to MRP?

Seeing how they've been out of business for a few years, I don't know if any Hobby Shops would still have them on their shelves or put away. One of my area Hobby Shops had the one that you're looking for and the mono hull that they made so someone locally may yet have one. The decals were a pain to apply, the one that they had the decals were pretty badly wrinkled on the boat.

I believe that they wer bought up by MRC - they do an F1 cat that looks suspiciously like the MRP one. Bud would only allow the Bud decal set to be marketed in the USA so where they were sold in Other countries different decal sets were used. I know that Lesro Models of Christchurch Dorsey UK have one such set of Decals ( well a couple of hundred actually)

In order for a model boating company to get the okay to use the Bud decals or its name, the model company had to make a "donation" for each boat sold to a charity of Budweiser's choice.
Miller Brewing started charging also to use their name on the Dumas boat kits also. Autographics got into a little trouble by not getting Miller's go-ahead to use their logo's on decal sheets. They got pulled off the market real fast!

I used to own MRP. I sold it to a company who did not continue the line. I have a few parts left and would be happy to look for you.
