and a 36" brushless mono that can run 6s for 400 bucks..

When I get back from this deployment, i'm buying one. Good thing Louisiana can sustain FE year round!
Very nice!!! I love RC but I have no time to build. If it's 400 or under with a 2.4Ghz radio and 7 cell packs, I'm sold.

What is the draw? That you can overpower it and the esc/motor shouldn't blow up?
Not to be too insulting, but I don't know of many ARR out of china/hobby king/ebay that don't have a fiberglass hull and those all cost about half this one.
Sure 2.4ghz but you can get one from H/K for $18, heck the dx3e is only $99.

The new boat is AWESOME, and that's the RC guy in me talking, not the Traxxas guy. Anticipated price is $400, but that's not locked in. The graphics will change too, anything currently on the web is pre-production stuff. Looks cool, but not final. And we don't have a name yet.
The ABS hull is unlike anything else you've experienced, and gives up nothing to a 'glass hull.
The brushless system is designed specifically for this boat, it's not a retuned version of our car system 9or any car system). It's watercooled and waterproof, and built to handle 6S.
I can't wait until the official release...you're gonna dig it!
