Ok, here's the final result.  Overall it looks pretty good.  Check it out:

Here we go... the nose wheel servo mounting bracket in all its glory! Ok, tried to make it sound more exciting than it is.

Anything new?

I'm just waiting on my Stumax.  He said he should be able to send it out by Friday.  I'm not feeling well today so not much going on there.  I did play with the airbrush yesterday and painted one side of the vertical stab in neutral grey.  I also made the decals on the computer and sized them correctly, but the decal paper I bought won't work on my inkjet, the ink just beads off.  I need to go someplace with laser printers or use a copy machine.  I've also ordered new air hose from BVM as I've been advised not to use the stuff that came with the gear as it is too flexible and may be prone to leaks.

Hi,

The black super-flexible stuff for the brakes can be problematic if used on the gear, but the other colors (except that translucent blue) of air tubing are just fine. If they develop leaks, it will be the first I've heard of it.

Very nice build, btw.

Thanks!  I'm hoping I can use all black (at least where visible) so it will be more scale, so hopefully the BVM stuff will fit the bill.

Ok gang I'm back on it.  Here's a breakdown of where we are, and the little that I've done since the last video:

Ok, here's the tutorial on how to make the missile rail using invertmast's method.  I tried to squeeze it all into one video, but it just wouldn't fit.  I'll make another video of how to prepare the wingtip to attach the rail.

Here's the last bit that couldn't fit in the first video of how to mount the missile rail.

Ok, I decided to smooth out the interior of the gear doors for a better finish.  I painted them and they are ready to install.  Here's how I did it:

I have a Yellow Aircraft NEW plastic canopy and fiberglass frame for sale. Perfect condition. Reason for selling, bought to fit another make F-16 and it's too large.
Still in original box.

Well, here's a little servo tray action.  I didn't mention it in the video, but you do have to glue in a small piece of included brass tubing where the torque rod goes through the plywood.  Be sure to do that.

I had to open the hole a bit on the ply piece so that the brass would conform to the same angle as the torque rod.  Other than that it was pretty much smooth sailing on this assembly.

Here's the progress thus far today. I forgot that I had to finish the other servo tray, so I did. I still have not achieved goal #1 of mounting the nose gear door

Unless you have a Fred Meyer store in your area, I don't think you'll be able to find it.  It is a store brand called "HD designs" grey primer.  I'm in California now so I don't have a UPC# or any other useful information and there aren't any Fred Meyer stores here.

UPDATE: Guaranteed you don't have that store in your location, they are a west coast and Alaska retailer owned by Kroger.

Just got a few things done.  Check 'em out in the video (in 1080p).  Mainly wanted to see how the new resolution works on youtube.

Well, here's a little pilot adjusting action, and a little on the cockpit. I want everything to fit well in there, so I'm taking my time to do it right. I hate taking my time, but it always seems to make me happy in the end...
