Default Big Block Jato

This has been a year in the making(mostly because i am lazy) but its finally done. I bought a brand new jato and a new era big block kit..swapped the chassis and motor on and staring looking for gearing. The motor is an rb inovations c3 rody modded, the clutch is a spair 1/8 buggy 3 shoe clutch with composite shoes and medium stall springs. The clutch bell is an axial racing 1/8 buggy bell...22 tooth..the spur is a revo 36 tooth spur. I still have to work on the shifting because it shifts to early into second(about 5 feet) i am also looking into a set of 17mm rear adapters so i can run ofna dm1 wheels with anacondas streched because that works for the dm1 it might work for the jato. any ideas or opinions let's hear them.

Pretty sweet dude!! I've been tring to do a offroad jato like the one the traxxas site. but I couldn't get my hands on one.(trade)
so In the Rc driver mag. last mounth, they basicely turned a Sport into a rustler..So i did the same to mine . put a 2.5r on it.
so she wicked fast for a single speed. (maybe 50mph)... I'm wondring what kind of top speed u will get with yours.

Great work man. Nice and clean, the only thing I would suggest is upgrade to the aluminum brake arms.

Thanks, I try to make my work as clean as possible. I am going to post some pics tonight of a few mods you have to do to make the 1/8 buggy bell work. Also I have to try and see if button head screws will work on the motor mount because the standard screws are going to hit the trans so I won't get a good gear mesh if I try to use the integy 34 tooth spur.

I did not know about the high speed gears for the trans but I'll look right now. Right now the tune is still rich but it will still pull the front wheels when it finially gets traction around 30mph...its kinda scary if you think about it...

Haha I'm actually comming to ohio this summer for a big 1/8 off road race, I primarily race 1/8 buggy. Me and my friends travel to nc, nj, de,pa and this year were hitting ohio...so maybe I'll bring the jato with me..
