Status: offline 		I have one of the red box Top Flite Mustangs that I hope to start on soon and I have a couple of questions.

I am thinking of building it as a Mustang MkII, which is roughly the same as a P-51A. The plan shows the B model full size and the A and D models at a very small scale in the corner. The plans make it look like the spinner is the same size on all the Mustang models. Is that true? For some reason, it just seems the A model would have a smaller spinner because of the carburator air scoop on top of the cowl.

Also, I am wondering what this airplane will coe out to wiegh? I am thinking of MonoKote finish, .61 FX sidemounted with slimline pitts, dual aileron servos and mechanical robart retracts. ANyone out there build one in a simular configuration?

Status: offline 		I built one and converted it to a D model. I put an OS61SF in it. It would rocket around at full throtle. I didn't put retracts in it but I don't believe that the xtra weight would effect the performance. I did have flaps. I put a single servo on the ailerons, never had a problem. Lost the rudder once didn't realize it till halfway thru the flight, didn't bother it at all. The plane should be a good time for you.
