Maybe a tail wind blew it over.

My guess would be dis-orientation, only because I have been there.

My two guesses are:

1) Too slow on final approach. Right wing stalled first and it snapped to the right.

2) Flaps deployed on turn to final and only left set came down, rolling the plane right.

I would say the left elevator broke somehow, maybe got unhinged, or a broken linkage, or aclevis. If it has two elevator servos, one might have stripped. I would check it out as part of the post crash investigation.
The real problem is that the guy was throwing a scaale plane around like an aerobatic plane....Shouldn't be allowed to happen,

Yeah, well soon it'll be my Sukhoi anyway......Infact, I can see you right now, move a little closer to the window would you?

P.S. You wouldn't be an angel and put it on to charge would you? Thanks.

John

After watching the video and more specifically the air time in front of the fatality, I observed a few things.

The model looks like it was being horsed around, i.e. to much throw and maybe not a lot of experience with the model. Was it new, trimmed, CG'd and all that stuff?

Look's like he pulled a little to much elevator right before it went bad and that's all she wrote. Corsairs, at least mine drop wing tips without warning.

Corsair's typically have HUGE elevator surfaces, the require very little deflection to be effective.

Typical snap stall. These scale birds have a higher wingloading than your typical funflys/trainers. Getting slow on a 180 degree turn to final can get tricky. The lesson to others should be: Give yourself more room for downwind-base-and final legs. Also remember speed=life.
