Hello,

As I've been working on my B-17, I've been thinking about how much its gonna weigh. I Think the AMA limit is 55 pounds.

Is that 55 pounds loaded with fuel? Or just the airplane with no fuel?

If I have to get it certified, do I just get it certified once, and forget about it? I don't have to get it certified at every event?

Mine came in at 59.5 pounds with fuel. So if it was without fuel, I know ways to reduce the weigh below 55 without fuel.

Thanks

The weight limit is 55 pounds with fuel ready to fly and any airplane between 55 and 100 that you want AMA insurance coverage for and to fly at an AMA chartered clubs flying site you must obtain an experimental permit and you need to go to the horses mouth for the info on a permit rather than here.

As this question has been asked in multiple forums (here and in the AMA forum) I am going to lock down this thread.
