Got it my rudder, I need to trim some of the length off . Also my cover has a slot for the pipe. I'm going back inside the hull to mess with the inside of the transome. One solid 1/4 " Alu plate stock, I may Sig that in too.

Yes I know what you mean. Better weather is coming. And yes Craig, I thought you went down. 1 week is too short. .My truck racing is slowing down. That hobby when you race it's hard on the parts. and parts and parts. I ran 3 classes. I'm back building my boats. where I belong Thursday nite racing may stay a few more weeks. My Sundays I need off, WITH BETTER WEATHER.

After looking at my new rudder I could of drilled threw the oval and had a 3 bolt pattern. I CK ed the weight the same, old rudder /new one Holes are drilled stuffing tube is in. I needed to re-bend my brass tube. my first bend was off. Looks good a nice fit. My radio box needs a little fab-ing were the tube meets the box is a little high. If I make my box removal-able , all will be good. I still like to be able to get at my strut/rudder plate. I need to reseal my radio box

Yup, usually good to have a removable radio box. I need to get back in the hobby room, but we have two pine wood derby cars to build first. Both my sons did very well last year.

Just got off the phone with the DEC. They approved my application for stocking grass carp in our pond! They should do a good job in keeping the weeds under control. They eat 3 times their weight per day!

Grass carp will graze where the weeds are, so as long as there are no weeds on top, they should be staying well under the water. They are not bottom feeders either, which is good, so they don't muck up the water.

The only grass carp that are legally sold in the U.S. are sterile, so that's why the DEC regulates them. I'm just thankfull I can get them, as weed killers in NY are very expensive, and the good ones are illegal....

They get big too...

I just grabbed the picture off the internet. They must be a hard fish to catch with a fishing pole. The typical bait wouldn't work....
