Status: offline 		Yes Roger, Glad to here from you. I hang out here most of the time. RC universe. I do post a few on IW and Jims RC boat dock some . Thanks on the RC Truck information. We still are running Thursday nite & Sundays .I'm hanging in there experience wise. I've gotten a TQ top qualifier a few times. I really feel good about my RC driving skills Did you NOTICE Stony Pond Boat Club in Canandaigua, NY . We ,Craig and a few members ,just staring up a New IMPBA site. We are looking for a few good men. like yourself.to join. I also met some of your friends at the "Duel in the Dungin" race. Them few drivers are the best I've seen all season. Rochester guys came in and showed us Hillbilly's how to drive. Hopefully I'm a better driver this year. with the help of all you guys. I had a ball this winter,drivin my 1/10 Losi slider , Associated T4.1 and my Slash. I'm still looking for 50 lap /4 min time. 47 laps is my best to date I average 43-45 laps . one/2 bad spin out per race has been haunting me .

Craig comes into Dan's Crafts 'n Things where I work at the RC counter (Tuesday nights), but I cannot recall actually meeting him. I am looking forward to trying out the Stoney Pond site. I have another 6-8 weeks of pan car carpet Oval racing left so I am a little limited on boat prep time. As soon as the ice melts, that will change!!! RC

Yup, I try to support Dan's as much as I can. I rarely stop in at nights, but John and Curtis have mentioned you. I have a case of 40% Omega I need to pick up.

My pond is on the smaller side, but it's under a controlled environment so that's a plus....

Status: offline 		I like stock for a first run. Then you can see the dark outline on the liner. then do your enhancements. John Finch's book on Advanced RC boating was the one that opened my eyes. It's in the library. gotta be. You get a stock motor then you do your things to it. Just like the NASCAR guys

These are the 7.5" diameter bouys that I posted about earlier. With shipping, $4.07 each.

All snow is gone here, still ice though. I will have to call the local fisheries about the grass carp. They have to be 6-8" long or they will get eaten by the large mouth bass.

Status: offline 		You can make a live well out of screen /wire 4 posts. ,until your ready to let em go . Watch out for fish eating birds. Make a place for them to hide. 2 -3 PVC pipes. Or put a top on.

Status: offline 		I'm off to the races. I am top point's in the 1/10 Slider class. I ran one week by myself no other slider's running. That shot me into the lead. All this work is starting to pay off. Just stay consistent is the key. I like to spin out too much. SPEED is addicting . Better weather got a few drivers itchy

It's still muddy where the grass didn't get a chance to grow last fall, but I'll be putting some #1 lime stone in the high traffic areas once the Kubota gets here. Probably one week, the dealer did not have one in stock. No back hoe though, I couldn't justify it at this time with gas prices going way up. Sure puts a dent in your budget when you need to drive 30 miles to work....

Neil, glad you are having fun with trucks. Wish I had the time.

Status: offline 		I noticed yesterday that the two front posts on the driver's stand heaved up about 1 inch! No real big deal, but the stand is no longer 100% level. The farthest I could dig the posts was a bit over 2 feet and I hoped that was enough. Funny thing is the swimming deck is still fine and I had only gone 1 foot deep on a couple of those footers.

I was going to work on the driver stand today, but I checked this weeks weather and there are going to be some nights in the low 20's. I guess I should cut some more trees down instead. The last thing I want to do is have the heating oil tank topped off before the prices fall....

Status: offline 		Craig, We all can help out. Just let us know. We can dig a hole next to the post and go down to 3' or below the frost line. Add some bracing -let one end drop at a time. OR add some weight on top to help push them posts back down.let gravity do it's thing I thought the Kubota was on hold ? You got a good wife. I'm not sure if I'm still wanted at the track. We have and "ole boys" smokers . that light up during the race. We had a benefit for a old couple that got their house burned down. One guy spoke up and yelled at all the one's smoking. I went back today and confronted the 3 that all-ways smoke. I told them some of the community is very upset about it. And we want them to do what's right. Winter's over get outside.

Status: offline 		The gravity method sounds like a good idea. We could try that. But, I'm not going to worry about it now. I'll finish building the stand and then we'll see if it's too bad. Might not be worth messing with.

Canandaigua Schools laid off 42 teachers/workers a week ago. Luckily, my wife still has her teaching job for next year, so I pulled the trigger on the Kubota, but no back hoe. It will benefit her too and she knows it, so that helps.

The Canadian geese are back. I will need to keep scaring them away. They are a pain in the butt. They crap every where!

Status: offline 		I do have a few hunting rifles. I used to shoot lots.I'm a little rusty but it's cool. I'm left handed except for RC truck & boats. My hands are Futaba savvy. I could weld left of right hand ,just LH now.I still can shoot for an old man. I did shoot a AR down at my buddy last fall. That's fun.and very accurate except when I did a few short blasts. My favorites are 2 LH rems 700 & 12 gauge.2 Savage 222 bolt action. RH and have my Grandfathers 35 rem pump. RH 303 Savage lever action. and a few 22. Hearing loss in one ear made hunting , a thing of the past. Shooting can add up $ very easy unless you reload. It may be easier to hang weight your up there pretty good.

Status: offline 		So you're into r/c trucks and guns to.I just sold a Lyman 500 grain scale on the bay a couple weeks ago.No use for it,no reloader anymore,no guns either.Sold everything.Here's my r/c car.

Status: offline 		I need to get a .308 bolt-action. I have a Springfield Armory M1A National Match. It is accurate, but you can't beat a bolt-action.

I have a Hornady progressive reloader. If you are good, 500 rounds per hour! I have dies for 10mm, 40 S&W, 9mm, .223, and .308.
