Status: offline 		Anybody ever done a scale Wild Turkey?
American Air Racing did the fullsize in the late 70's and apparently it was a killer....
Anyway, I like the looks and think a model would be FAST!
The fullsize one was only 20'4" wingspan and I'm thinking quarter scale.

Status: offline 		I'm not sure who designed and/or built the model, but I remember Dennis Cranfill and a few others use to fly a wild turkey very successfully in q40.

Not sure if they are still available though, as I have not seen one in a couple years.

I believe Dennis still works with Dub Jett. I'm sure a simple email, or call to Dub would get you some answers.

Status: offline 		Man, that is a great shot of the plane. I was losing interest in modelling it, but that sure would look cool at the field!
I have limited experience with fast models, and wonder about airfoils and wing area for an R/C Turkey. Think it's possible to fly something with a scale wing profile (area)?

Status: offline 		I think you would have to stretch the wing some, and possibly fatten up the outer wing panels some. Lengthening the outer wing panels would probably work best, though.
