Your Customer Service is Great. You recognized the bugs and are ongoing in the fix as we enjoy the old RCU.

Here are my issues after about an hour on the new site:

Speed

I was able to finally log in and edit my personal info (Whew!), but when I went to post I was a GUEST.
Screen clutter

Message fonts seemed small and hard to read when wrapped.

Keep up the good work. I know you're trying to balance the needs of your members with your own.

The fact you're trying to pay for it all & make a buck seems pretty smart to me. If you keep it simple, high quality, and comprehensive for many needs people will stay.

John

Well,
I guess it's the end for the swap shop
Do you really think you're going to get people to give you their credit card and address info? Not me
And How much are the Fees going to be???
I didn't get that far
you mean I'd have to pay to put up with the moronic emails I get evertime I try and sell something here?
Owell, I guess the only online buying and selling I'll be doing is on Ebay

I know you're in this to make money, but this looks like the beging of the end, same thing happen on rc online

The new format looks pretty good. Although I could'nt get the page. Kept getting error messages. Must have been the loading speed. Or something. Anyway, After I finally did get it up. Hehe, ( no I'm not going to put in any smart comment) I would log in and it still said I was a a guest. Well I hope I can get logged in. I got so many stupid questions to ask, I'd miss that. Hehe. Hope everything works out! Thanks Robt46.

Well done Marc, it looks great.
The only two things I don't like are;

1. The colours, make it look slightly cluttered.
2. You left me without my RCU fix for a whole day yesterday.....

I clicked and there was a new site. Asked me for more info so I guess it wqas trying to update from the airport site. Could not get anyting to work right and then when I looked for engines there was a big old zero as no listings. I think you better debug this real good before uploading as the world it fickle and if it does not work then off they go to another and don not kid yourselve you are the best but give another a chance to feed off of your misery and they will do it every time.

I paid for a membership. Will that be ok while the repairs are going? The only problem I had was speed and when I was paying it crashed and said invalid merchant once. re-entered and it took.

Mark,

A few weeks back you mentioned how there was something around the corner that was going to blow away the Ezone. Personally, I thought the look of the new RCU was great, but you won't lure away many electric people by charging for your classifieds......As I'm sure you are aware, the Ezone (RCgroups) dosen't do that.

Ah yes, a new improved site where you can have more ads, pay for stuff, etc. It is a real shame it is going this way as it will ultimately die and it, currently, is one of the best rc sites on the net.

I agree, it now looks like all the other Internet sites. The colors are not very attractive as well and make it look too busy. For me, the new look is too "commercial", and looks like more of the RC Airport format, which I hated. I liked the old RCU format better, even though it probably wasn't as attractive. It was simple, plain, and easy to use.

But the Internet is business, I guess you have to do what you have to do.

Just "NO FRIGGING POP UPS!".

New format and layout was a little confusing- just because it was different... I'll get over that.
Whenever I logged in, it would boot me out as soon as I went to any folder/forum.
Couldn't post or reply.
Page loading was slowwwwww.
There was no PayPal option to upgrade membership (hint hint)

thats Nasty with a capital N, looks like every other "TOMY My First Forum Attempt"
infact,... it looks like a commercial or club website with a forum bolted on

i havent logged out, i never do, just click my new mails, is this why i see the old?

The page was up yesterday, today it's back to the same old.

I have a couple issues:

1. I could not find a "View New Posts Since Last Visit" button anywhere on the main page. It's the only thing I use here, I don't want to spend any time browsing forums, I just want a button that shows me all the new threads. I can pick and choose what I want to see.

2. Full page advertisement. I don't care what yahoo does (I use ad-less google anyway, for exactly this reason), I don't like it. Paying a fee (no matter how small) so that I can stop seeing them is extremely annoying. T
