I have an old HPI 15fe that needs part# 1682 which has been discontinued.

I called HPI support and they told me #15149 *should* work.

Can anyone confirm that these rubber gaskets will work on my old 15fe carb?

They're not o-rings?

Yes, sorry. I apologize for the incorrect use of terminology. They are in fact, O-rings.

But, I do not think the #1682 is made of rubber like the #15149.

Take it to a hobby shop, and o-ring from another model may fit.

I've had it to 3 different hobby shops in the area and they are stumped.  Two of the Three could only muster up the half-arsed answers "It's discontinued" "you can do an engine trade for $65".  I'd much rather spend $2.50 on O-ring's first.

That's why I called HPI directly.  But, the person on the phone knew less about the car than I did (which isn't a whole lot).  I was hoping someone on here would have better information.

It is, indeed, discontinued. Perhaps you can take it to a hardware store and see if you can find some generic o-ring of the same size. Maybe you could seal it with silicone? As if sealing the whole engine. I'm not sure if that will be enough, but it might be worth a shot.
