With all the Caps, Edges, and Ultimates out there, take a gander at the TT Lazy Cub. I bought it to have a fun put-putter. I powered it with a 46LA from O.S. that I had sitting on a shelf. An RX and a standard flight pack (also sitting around) completed it. I assembled it in two evenings. I put the CG at the front of the range and set throws as per the manual. I flipped the 10x5 APC to a start. I range checked it. Into the wind and 3 feet later it was up. There was no put-puttering. There was no time. At a safe altitude I trimmed and started to fly it in the pattern. A few figure eights then back down to the deck for a ride. This plane easily does 10 foot loops on low rates. For fun I clicked in the flapperons and it tightened the loops. Bank and Yanks are like a combat plane. It does really neat stall turns. The very small tank was sure to be going dry so I set up for approach. I pulled to idle and it settled down to a beautiful landing. Flight weight dry: 3.8 pounds with my 46LA and standard JR flight pack. 675 square inches of flat bottom wing provide plenty of lift. It is Ultracote covered in Dark Yellow and looks good. All the black markings in the photos are stickers. For the $99.95 I paid I can't be happier. Maybe simple things entertain simple minds, or maybe this little plane just rocks!
