I have a Jett .46 engine and I would like to have a go at Sport Pylon (I think that what it is called in Australia).
Is there a class for .46 engines and can I use the Jett .46
Also any suggestions as to the right aircraft for this class?

Thanks

Tommy

There is indeed a class for your 46, and since you are in sydney you should check out the next race at Marroubra on the 27/7/03.

You should also check out this site.

Here in Sydney NSW(Australia) we have a strong q500 championship going with about 16 pilots on average racing 7 times a year. We use pro46's with 10*6 and no nitro.
Modeltec sonics are the most popular and we can't get enough of them.
So how do we get some predators down here?

The Good News,,, You can always contact the manufacture for shipping quotes

The bad news,,, It might be a little pricey shipping from the States to Australia.

I have shipped my Racer II Kits,,,
http://www.q500424.com/Kits/racer_ii.htm ,,, overseas and it added an aditional 40.00 USD to the kit cost.

BTW, thats a nice pic and looks like you guys are having Blast!

How many do you want, and what colors? A bulk shipment is highly recommended. Because of the length of the box, you have to pay an oversize fee anyway.

From the shipping pricing I have dealt with and checked on, 4 at a time is fairly cost efficient. Get 2 per order, minimum.

However, the best thing to do would be to get a hobby shop in the area to get some in. You might have to do a group, pre-paid purchase ... until the shop owner recognizes the fact that racers have a limited life.

Last Sunday 7-27-03 we had our biggest race for some years. 22 pilots raced at Maroubra near Sydney.

In the background is Maroubra Beach only a few mile south of the famous Bondi Beach. We also had quite a crowd watching through out the day.
The next race is at Wollongong on the 10th Aug.
