depends how fast you can go. In any case I would use a speed gems pro. very reliable.

I have a 12T Double its pretty damn fast, If I was to buy another one though I would purchase a 10T and then adjust my ESC to the track conditions.

What ESC and cells do you have?

Also do you race or just drive for run.

If you do race for how long and on what surface?

Well I just recently got into RC's and I plan to do some racing.

My car has all the modified frame parts

I have the Jr Metal Gear Servo

I have a IPC LRP Pro Sport ESC ( no turn limit) I have 3300, and 2400 Matched cell packs.

Normally RC Races are setup up to be 5 minutes or X amount of laps not lasting longer than 5 minutes usually.

your 2400 cells will be the limitation then.

if your planning on racing then you DONT NEED THE MOST POWERFULL MOTOR.

When your starting out controllable power is whats important, not pure power.

Crashing is what will make you loose, not straight line speed.

id recomend something like a 14X3 from reedy or orion (and top name motor manufacturer)

if you are planning on racing go to the local track and see what other people use.

IMHO 90% of people have cars with too much power for there ability.

Using your theory people would never be able to compete with some of the best drivers. All of the top racers racing the T3 are using a 10T.

If your in it to win it you want to use the motor thats gonna be able to compete and learn to drive it.

Fact is that most of the best drivers can beat 90% of people with a stock motor.

This isnt an idle statement, Ive seen this happen on several occations.

Using a low turn motor will loads of torque will just make it harder to drive. Plus if he buys a 10 turn his cells will dump at 4 minutes unless he drives very smooth.

Do you have any clue what your talking about ?

Just because it has more power doesnt mean it is hard to drive all you have to do is set up the slipper clutch your esc and your servo correctly and its extremely smooth and not hard to control at all.

Just seems to me you cant setup a car properly or your just a bad driver I dont know which but if your gonna make reccomendations please do some research of Winning Modified truck set up sheets.

Fine, im not going to argue with you.

I think that going straight in with a 10turn as your FIRST modified is a bad move.

Copying what kinwald runs wont allways mean your running the best setup for you.

Im not as good as kinwald or pro drivers, im a fairly average club racer. In my experience (racing for ten years) most people will do better with a lower torque motor as there first modified.

I think you will probably be best going to your local club and asking for a third oppinion.

Or just buy an extra armature, learn the track with a 13 or 14 turn then put in a lower wind if you think you can handle it. This will also let you run the faster motor with your 3300 cells as you will dump running a 10 on 2400 cells.
