Hello everyone i have a battery the TorqMaster Mini 12V 4.5A and the charger 12V charger from hobbico,
the thing is how do i connect them together?

Once i heard that i could damage the batt if i dont do it right way

no you won't damage the battery or starter, in fact some engines need the starter running backwards anyway. (outboard boat engine IIRC uses the starter running backwords, heli's also?)

Nevermind, was having one of those days... red to red, black to black (or whatever is left after the red to red part!)

I think you're confused. He asked about hooking up his charger, not a starter. All the answers given are correct. Positive (red) to positive (red) and negative (black) to negative (black).

You guys are a riot. Connecting a batt to a charger is not exactly a shuttle launch! Anyway, the guy probably needs to know that the current in the charger has to be monitored time to time as the batt gets charged. His charger must have an ammeter.

Sometimes it really pays to read the instructions that come with the equipment that you buy. If you don't, you, or more importantly, an innocent bystander, could get seriously injured. When working with electricity, no matter how small, you have to be very safety concious and know exactly what you are doing. Read the instructions, they are more than toilet paper!
