I bought a reedy Ti 7 turn double and I have been running it for a little bit now and it has developed this bad problem of needing a push to get it to go and now it has completly stoped working. I dont know if the comm needs to be trued or what. Thanks for the help.

How many battery packs have you run through it? The fewer the number of turns, the more frequently you need to replace the brushes, springs, and cutting the comm.

Check the brushes for glazing and heat discoloration. Based on your problem description, you will need to replace them. Whenever you change your brushes, you should change the springs too.

Check the comm for scarring and discoloration. If it is discolored or has scars (heavy scratches and not smooth), it should be cut.

Good luck,

Yea, that is a tel tale sign that you need new brushes and a cut comm. Ask the LHS, they often will cut your comm for 5 bucks er so. And you can buy and install the brushes with a hot iron. Should be good as new. Also, clean the armature while you have it out.

It might just be sticking brushes.

Take them out and see what colour they are. if they are uniform copper colour then they are ok, if they are purple of red then they are worn out.

As the other guys have said you will probably need new brushes and to get the com skimmed.

Running a modified motor means you need to do a bit more maintenance.
