Causeitflies, could you give me a link to where to buy the Tracker II? I've been trying to find it, but my surfing skills have been stunted by having to actually work some today.

Polk's Seeker RX is also synthesized so it can change channels also. It will work with "ANY" FM TX. The Tracker will work with "ANY" FM RX.

Can you tell I'm impressed with mine?

Causeitflies, can you set up the Tracker II to do Crow? is it pretty easy to program or am I going to have to get my computer geek friend to do it for me?

David, do you have the Hitec Radio or were you just suggesting it as an option?

I wasn't in the market for a radio either. But I had to have this one. Oh well

Yes it will do crow and is easy to program if you remember to "save" after any changes.

Yep! I use the Eclipse + Spectra.

It does everything I want, and I get a lot more flying in from having the Spectra.

In answer to your next question:- Yes, it can be programmed to give a crow situation, but it takes a lot of programming, and can only be done using two switches, if you want to retain the throttle channel as a throttle (i.e. not a glider)

The fact that there are 5 programmable mixes (as opposed to 3 on the tracker) makes it possible.

Mike, from Hitec, in here, will show you how, I'm sure.

As for the rest of the set-ups I need, they are all very simple on the Eclipse.

If I can afford to have 99 models at one time, I don't think that I would be worried about the price of any of these radios.

beardking, Me too. Here's a thread where I asked Lewis Polk about the 99 model memory.

I bet the amount of memory needed to store extra models is minimal. All that has to be stored in a few numbers to initialize the functions. It'll be the functions themselves that take up the memory and they don't have to be stored for every model.

Probably!

Even a switch already performing other functions (like "landing mode" . It's prominently outlined in the manual (p23).

beardking - If you're still undecided on the Tracker II, I wish to point out that $275 is an introductory price. They are planning to soon increase it to $300 (still a great deal).

If anyone would like a copy of the Tracker II manual to help in their decision, send me an email, or a PM with your email address in it. The file is to large to attach here on RCU (225KB).
