I have just purchased a new nicad pack (9,6v) from Futaba for my transmitter.

I want to know how long I can keep it in storage before charging it for the first time. I will not need it for several months.

Thanks.

RAJUL

I have read that earlier as well but it does not say anything about battery life from manufacture till it is charged for the first time.

Put it in a baggie and store in your refrigerator. A couple of years if you need to. Let it come to room temperature then give it a couple of cycles of slow charge before putting it into service.

Thanks a lot Red S.

I was eagerly waiting to hear the expert comment.

I am sure someday you will enlighten us with the details of this part of the battery life in one of your informative article.
