Welcome to the Alpha Racing Tires Off Road thread. Alpha Racing Tires has been out in Europe for a couple months and is now making its way to the US through Alpha Tyres USA. We will have a website up and available really soon for ordering and dealer inquires/info.

There has been testing done in Canada and a select few in the US and feedback has been amazing. Right now they will be available in Pre-glued wheel/tire combo's first and come in re-sealable bags.

Tires come in a variety of compounds including hard, medium, soft and ultra soft and come in 5 different tread patterns.
Here are some bigger more defined pics too look at or our tires.

Considering not all treads and compounds were available since they are shipped as we speak, it was a good showing. First time out with 2 racers at the RC PRO series, results were 2nd in Sportsman buggy A-main with a Kyosho MP9 and 9th in PRO buggy A-main with a Agama A8. Both were running the Upsilon's in soft compound. Omicrons were sold out and would have been the ticket in Ultra Soft!

Racers interested can post here or email at alphatyresusa@aol.com.

I got a set of the Upsilon tires and ran them this weekend at the RC PRO series race with my Agama. Got me into the A-main in Pro buggy. Tires worked great. After running practice, 2 quals and a 30 minute main I still got enough to do another race. I ran the Soft Compound.

Nice tire designs. Sent an e-mail as I am interested in the Gamma Alpha in hard/med compound.
Also glad to hear they'll be available in Canada, too since R/C seems to really be picking up steam out there.
14 years ago finding a hobby shop in Canada in some places was like looking for gold on the ground: it has really grown since then.

I ran the Khi's this past saturday at a local club race. Unofficially I checked out and won the race LOL! Had a transponder problem and was not picking up all my laps which I noticed by the 3rd lap when my times were not being said but I was in the lead my almost half lap. So I was extra careful to check if I got past anytime during the 20 minute main and did not get passed once. So I know I won. Got only 7 laps added back and race director put me 3rd officially on paper Tires worked awesome. Could put the buggy where I wanted and not break loose at all. So far I have tried the Upsilons and Khi's both in Soft compound and happy as can be. Track surface was dusty/sandy and loamy all night. Track just got back up and running so clay was not the best you could run on lol.

Well I could not say they are physically balanced how some of us do it with clay but once installed on my buggy (both sets I have used) they spin true when you rev it up. No wobbling at all so I guess you can say they are pretty well balanced. Even after numerous runs they are still as smooth.

A couple of questions for you: are the foams used in these tires molded? Are the foams open or closed cell?

Alpha, where are your tires, inserts, and wheels manufactured? Where are the preglued assemblies...assembled?

Just curious

Thanks!

They are made in Taiwan. Mostly developed and designed in Europe though. "Preglued assemblies... assembled?" LOL. There has been extensive testing in Europe and Canada with these tires before they were able to be released to the US. Everything is top notch quality that we offer or we would not offer it at all. Offering inferior equipment especially here in the US just to make a buck will KILL a reputation for a company.

Oh, never doubted quality. Was just curious if everything was glued up at the factory, also.

Just received my set of Gamma tires today. Upon opening the package, I saw that they came in a resealable bag, which is nice. The medium compound I ordered these tires in still feels quite soft, surprisingly, so I'm expecting them to hook up well.

Side note: I really, really like this tread pattern...should do well on multiple surfaces including sand/loam....can't wait to take them to the beach!

Holes have been punched in the tires for breathing instead of the rims so debris has a chance to exit...also nice. Once I have a chance to mount them on my Strike and try them out, I'll post how they performed.
So far, so good: way to go Alpha!

Edit: For some pics of them mounted, go to the Losi Strike thread here:
