I just bought one of these servos and have not seen many if any failures on this servo. Application is pull pull on my elevator for my DP ultimate. The airplane flies along and suddenly would glitch, the airplane would pitch down and then fly fine, and do it a few times as well. Luckily none occured during landing, but all the times it was straight and level flight. Have you seen this happen before Mike?? I replaced rx, xtals, y harnesses, so i think it may be the servo. I cant seem to duplicate it on the ground, the airplane range checks about 130ft plus with the antenna collapsed. The atv is 140%, but i havent seen an ATV prob with this servo before. THe radio system is a futaba 9cap with a r127df rx. Let me know. I would like to get this servo replaced if it is in fact the problem. I will go try it in a different plane to see if I can replicate the problem. Thanks Mike.

Adam,

It may be the receiver itself and not the crytals. I had a couple of receivers go south and got repaired/replaced.

This rx has been time proven in other planes, plus i have replaced it before too, so i think the rx is out. any other ideas?

I seriously doubt the servo would cause an intermitent glitch. It's possible it could be from metal to metal contact somewhere in the plane.

We'd be happy to look at the servo if you think that is the problem though... However, we're looking at a 2 week turn around time right now.

Mike.

I have checked for metal to metal, and was unable to find any, the glitch would only be on the pitch axis, so the servo may be at fault, but i will try flying the radio system in another plane.

Adam,

I had a similar problem. When I sent the reciver in they found a few bad filters. But it did start off that way. Did you try these servoes with another receiver?

Yeah, Actually they ve been on 3 different rx's. I sure wish the switch would have solved the problem. I have been getting headaches over this one. I am thinking the servo or the tx.
