Good Flying plane. Peak models and sds hobby customer support is improving. Prices are going up too.

Will up pull out of a hover easily with the DL35RA?

The DLE 35RE should have most impressive performance in this airframe. Pull outs, no problem with the DLE. I was using an MLD 35 with a 20x8 Xoar prop and the performance was spectacular. The new DLE should be just as good if not better!

Cool thanks for the info, one more thing. The site doesn't list the servo requirements, what size and torque servos are needed for it? I got the impression that it is cut for standard size servos but that they need to be metal gear and around 120oz torque, which is typically pretty expensive.

Something like this?

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXYZW9&P=0

or cheaper non digital

I wonder if this is the same exact plane that nitroplanes.com sells? They are advertising the 30cc sbach for $239 plus shipping but with a discount code and shipping comes to about $252 shipped to me here in NY. I see alot of 30cc sbachs for sale under different names. Just wondering if the nitroplanes version is the same as the 350-400 dollar versions?

I do not know about the nitro planes but the peak model/sds hobby version comes from China toy and hobby company sxoingwan province (close to shanghai). This is the same area where the Pilot RC models are manufactured. There are a lot of quality ARF model manufacturers in China. As for servos for 30 cc airframes I would use metal gear 120 oz minimums. If your going to really do some hard 3d stuff 250 oz or better! Hobby king has a ton of quality servos at reasonable prices but be careful because they have a lot of cheap servos too. I personally have found the Blue Bird HV servos and Hobby King HV servos to rival or equal the Hitecs, Futabas and JR brands. If a servo is manufactured in Tiwain it is most likely very high quality. China servos suck.

I did notice the nitroplanes version has a glue in rear horiz stab where as the others have a 2 part bolt on stab with a tube. I prefer the tube.

Do you happen to know what the discount code is? Based on the description it doesn't appear to be the same plane. The peak version has carbon fiber wing tubes and landing gear where the nitro planes has aluminum.

discount code is "pricepickle" .....Gives you 6% off which helps a little. By time shipping is is added there is almost a $100 difference in the price of the 2 planes. The nitroplanes version was about $252 shipped to me here in NY. With the discount applied. I am not sure which one to get. I dont care about wingtube material but like the plug in stab in the peak/sds hobbies vesion versus the glue in. Also nitroplanes only has orange and green.

Both the Tower TS-70 and Hobbico CS-70 are Hitec 645s. Look at the specs, I have used all three.

could be a good copy, specs dont mean crap though.
A dodge 2.5 engine is not the same a Lexus 2.5 engine for example, same specs..or close.
Possibly same components in servos, I just dont bother buying much generic copied stuff. Although I am guilty of buying from HK sometimes..Ok several times..

Buying from HK !?.... Well, Guilty too. But I tell you The Blue Bird servos are pretty good! The BLS 3114 and 2209 digitals are about 90 bucks each with shipping and I would stand them against the futaba BLS157 and 152 (190 each...ouch!!!) all day long. I fly them in my 50cc and 100cc air frames. Will probably post a build on the 104 inch extreme flight extra (BLS 3114 all around).

Hey, I told you I have all three. It IS the same servo, same gears, same electronics, same motor, and it IS made by Hitec, period.
