question for engine... I would like to use a DLE55... has someone used one in this kit? I would like to use the long tuned pipe which ends up somewhere in the middle of the fuselage... then I would like to fit it without cutting the cowling to have opening for engine head and plug... will this fit in there? only hole i would make in cowling would be at the bottom close against the firewall... so there will still be wind circulating over and through engine head...

The plug doesnt quite fit in cowl and needs a small hole.

How about posting some pics?
Or doing a build thread?
That's the BEST way to get them selling.

I'm interested in possibly getting one but like most, won't till I see a build thread with pictures to get an unbiased idea of the quality.

I'll even throw my hat in the ring and offer to do one!
I've got a brand new DLE55 and all new radio gear just waiting to go into an SBACH.
Have just been waiting to see who's producing the best quality.
I've followed the Pilot thread and am so so on the quality, the one from Pakistan will probably NEVER make it to our country,
the Slipstream one is far far far from scale...

Care to put your version up to the challenge?

So So on the Pilot quality?? I don't get anything for saying this,as I think Troy-built Models is kinda ,lets just say,not so customer oriented.....I wish someone else would sell them without all the pricing games Troy-Built plays, kinda like a new car dealer,But they don't build the Pilot planes, and as far as my 15+yrs of building and flying sees it,they are the best, lightest, strongest and best flying plane out there!! I will say that the most popular 50cc yak(E.F) is a piece of crap compared to the Pilot. The PAUs are well-built but flying tanks!!! My 30% Yak R.T.F is 14.5lbs!!!! I will post pics if anybody cares.

Chief aircraft sells Pilot. Think I read somewhere that they might be the sole distributor in the States

I guess Red Wing isn't up to an independant unbiased build thread on his version........no response

Let me get this straight, because they didn't send you a free plane to build and fly then they are not "up to an independant (sic) unbiased build thread"? Maybe I misunderstood what you are saying,  so I am more than willing to be set straight.

I just don't think Redwing wants to get into anykind of pissing contest.
And I don't blame him.

I have seen the goldwing sbach and it's a nice plane and built very very light.
That being said they can be fragile.

BTW here's the build thread on the redwing sbach http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10088627/tm.htm
